Mexico City's First Album

Folks, one of my favourite Brisvegas bands Mexico City is releasing their first full length release on Monday the 13/2/06. It is titled Black Comedy, is out on Reverbration records (check out their webpage sometime) and had ten awesome tracks. These boys have had two EPs out in the last couple of years which are well worth checking out.

Look out for the gigs that will surely be coming your way in the next few weeks/months. Surrender yourself into their very capable hands and you won't regret it (you may feel dirty but you won't regret it).

Get into them now so that when they get huge (and they will), you like me, can say you were there at the beginning! And scoff at the first person to say "Hey you should check out this new band", because you were there man, when it all came together. Let the smugness begin!

Hey Cusp there's a good gig tonight at Ric's - the Fred Band and the Surfari Krishna's... I'm going and think it will be a fun night (Greg who plays in both bands has a birthday today hip hip hooray!!!).
If you come along, come and find me - I'm Polly, and I'd like to have a beer with you :-)

Hey Princess, I would love to come along tonight but I have a commitment. I would love to meet sometime. Soon as I figure out how I'll post my picture on my blog so that if we ever co-gig you'll be able to spot me. Or I might just get a T-shirt with "Cusp of Optimism" written on it...hmmmm the marketing possibilities are endful.

Have fun tonight and tell Greg Happy Birthday from me. And you'd better(I'll check you know).

Cusp (aka Dan)

Hey there Cusp, I assume you will be going to Mexico City's album launch at the Rev this weekend - the Re-mains will be supporting and they are fabulous, so it should be an awesome night... never know, maybe we will have that beer :-)

Princess Polly, I am hoping to get along to Mexico City, I missed the last gig and I think that the boys will start to question my commitment. It will be a huge week for me as much is happening. On Saturday itself I will be at Pet Expo manning my stall, talking to the public about dogs. While I don't get bored of talking about pooches, it is usually a tiring day. Then on Saturday I fly to Sydney in the morning for a wedding. But I will try to get along even if only for a couple of hours. If I do I'll get Simon to give you a shout out from the stage so that you know where I am.
Cool?
